Occupational therapy is aimed at assisting a child to function in all spheres of his school or home life, whether he has a physical or learning disability.
Mental Health vs. Intellectual Impairment
Most people find it difficult to talk about mental health issues. Anyone can suffer from or is prone to developing a mental illness.

Finances: The only finances the school is able to access is subsidy from the Gauteng Department of Education .Operational cost.
The majority of the learners (90%) are from impoverished families and receive grants from the Department of Social services.
School fee payments of R400 p/a is non existent, as many families live off these grants. Many of the learners live with their grandparents or are in foster care.
The school is situated in a community with a high unemployment rate. Sponsorship from local businesses is exhausted by the 25 Public schools in the area.
